How to get there.

Leave the airport, following the signs for Cadiz/Algeciras. Once on the highway (N-340), travel westwards for about 25 minutes until you reach Fuengirola. Once there you will see an exit with Coín clearly signposted. From this slip road, follow either the signs for Coín which are easily marked or, Alhaurin el Grande. Either route will get you to Coín. From the junction on the N-340 it should take you a further 20 to 30 minutes to reach the center of town.

Getting around in Coin

Getting to Coin by Car
The 43km journey to Coin should take on average 45 minutes by car to reach, coming from Malaga airport. Due to Coin's rural location, it would be advised to hire a car. However it must be mentioned that parking, especially during the summer months, can be a challenging proposition at the best of times. Coin does have an underground parking structure, but this can prove expensive for long stays, however for short trips into the center of town its ideally placed right in the center, with accesibility to everything.

Take a Taxi to Coin
As previously mentioned it can take, on average, around 45 minutes to get to Coin by taxi from Malaga airport, and taxis are available 24 hours a day. Fares can vary depending on time of day & season. The usual, common sense rules apply when taking a taxi abroad: agree the rate in advance, if the driver is being vague ask to see the rate book, every taxi driver should be carrying one, by law. This will enable you to show them exactly where you need to go. Be aware of the minibuses, as they will often try to double charge you for your journey.
