The Hipodromo has 2 sandy racecourses. The first is 1700m long and the second is just slightly shorter at 1,600m long and both courses are a suitable 25m wide. The racecourse occupies a substantial 30.000 sq metres of ground, ideal for grand events, parties exhibitions, concerts and ceremonies, and with seating for 1500 people it is easy to see why so many people take advantage of this. The Hipodromo also offers 2 steeplechase courses. Also, why not take us up on one of our horse riding lessons, available for both adults and children, we also have facilites to entertain and teach children with special needs.

Horse racing is not the only sport to be enjoyed at the Hipodromo Costa del Sol. There are often other competitions, such as: athletics meetings, football matches with seats for 800 people and also available is a fully equipped gynasium.

The Hipodromo and fine dining go nicely hand in hand with its’ two restaurants, Restaurant "Fhar Lap" holds up to 300 people, and Restaurant "El Caballo" holds up to 350 people. Both are ideal for different types of celebrations with views of the sea and Sierra de Mijas, easy parking for 2000 cars. If you are considering a party and the restaurants are a little larger than you might like, the Hipodromo also offers a V.I.P. room on the first floor for smaller events (70 people), with spectacular views of the racecourse, grounds and sea.

Several cafeterias and bars can be located in the Hipodromo as well for all tastes and nationalities.
